Victoria
Water conservation rules vary in different parts of Victoria. These are determined by the local water provider, many of whom have introduced permanent water saving rules or by-laws to protect long term water supplies.
Current restrictions
Uniform water restrictions, stages 1-4, and Permanent Water Saving Measures are used throughout Victoria. The Melbourne region is now on stage 3 water restrictions. Follow the links below to find out the restrictions applicable in your area and what they mean.

Product rebates
- Water Smart Gardens and Homes Rebate Scheme Rebates apply to a range of domestic products - and due to the success of the program and the continued need to protect our precious drinking water supplies for now and the future, the Victorian Government has extended the program until 30 June 2009.
