  • Stockholm International Water Institute
    The Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI) is a policy institute that contributes to international efforts to find solutions to the world’s escalating water crisis.
  • UK Environment Agency's Water Conservation and Demand Management Site
    With a duty to secure proper use of water resources in England and Wales, it monitors water in the environment and issues abstraction licences. It also has a 25 year strategy to ensure water resources meet the needs of the environment and society.
  • United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP)
    The UNEP website has information for everyone on worldwide environmental issues including as freshwater, sustainable consumption, urban issues, climate change and business and industry.

    The United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) has developed a Water Portal dedicated to information related to freshwater available on the World Wide Web.

    This international multi-stakeholder platform was established in 1996 on the initiative of renowned water specialists and international organisations, in response to an increasing concern about world water issues from the global community.
