Eau De Paris

Eau de Paris is the public operator in charge of the drinking water supply of the capital city of France. The drinking water consumption in Paris has seen a regular and steady decrease since the beginning of the 90’s, totaling a loss of 25% over a period of twenty years. However, at the same time, the stress on the resource, both from underground water and surface water origins, has grown in such a way that nowadays, decrees for restrictions of water uses are issued every year by the government. Also concerned by the right for safe and affordable water to all citizens, Eau de Paris has developed programs for enhancing the awareness of households to water saving issues, and also started to implement water virtuous devices in collaboration with social apartment owners.
