Shower and tapware manufacturer, Methven has made a world first breakthrough in shower spray technology. The product has already exceeded sales expectations for both New Zealand and Australian bathroomware since the launch in September 2004.
The SatinJet technology delivers a wide, full-spray pattern of water while using only nine litres of water per minute.

The ‘full-flow shower’ feeling is created by two streams of water being distributed through two holes at a time, directed precisely at each other, and colliding. This breaks the surface tension to create a softer, fuller spray.

Because each jet is angled slightly differently to the next one, the spray pattern is unique and removes the ‘hole in the middle’ effect of some water-saving shower heads on the market.

“SatinJet works well in low-pressure situations and is suitable for instantaneous hot water systems which are growing more popular, but are not always compatible with water-saving showers,” says Matthew Crichton, CEO Methven Australia. “Therefore, we’re giving more people the opportunity to save water!”
