savewater! awards® support new innovation
“We were jubilant with our win in the ‘product innovations’ category at the 2004 savewater! awards® - it provided significant brand awareness and understanding of our product,” says Mr Max Ekins, product manager for RainBank.
“Developing a new market category for metropolitan rainwater harvesting was proving to be a difficult process at the time, but winning the award is what helped us to break the mould.”
RainBank attaches to a rainwater tank and pumping system and can automatically divert the rainwater to flush the toilet or do a load of washing. When rainwater is limited, it automatically switches back to the main water supply.
Mr Ekins says that after winning the savewater! award®, RainBank packaging and promotional material was branded with the awards logo.
“The savewater!® brand is widely recognised by consumers, so it was a great bonus that we were able to use the awards logo to promote our win,” says Mr Ekins.
Today, Mr Ekins says that Davey Products is focusing on developing more technologies to help people right across the globe use water in more sustainable way.
“As consumers become more aware of the need to value our water resources and treat it’s consumption with care, it is imperative that we continue to innovate to support them and to help make water saving easy,” says Mr Ekins. “Water saving products can not only help to address our local issue, but one that is global.
“Winning the savewater! award® has provided extra encouragement for Davey Products to continue striving for excellence in developing new water saving and reuse products for the local and international markets.”
