About the awards
The savewater! awards® recognises the outstanding water conservation achievements of businesses, government, schools, local communities and individuals across Australia.

Now in its seventh year, the savewater! awards® has emerged as the leading water sustainability awards in Australia. Winning at the savewater! awards® has helped many companies and individuals to spread the water conservation message and assist other members of the community to use water more efficiently.

"To expand our work we need to apply for grants; using the savewater! awards® winner's logo, and being able to promote our win and finalist nominations, helps to reinforce our credibility."

Eric Bottomley, CERES Sustainability Projects Team Leader,
winner Community Groups category, 2004 savewater! awards®

Judging
To ensure independence and integrity, all entries are comprehensively assessed by an independent  judging panel.

The judging process is overseen by Mr Rob Gell, a respected and long standing advocate of sustainable practices and Chairman of Access Environmental Pty. Ltd. Rob leads a team of judges associated with the water industry.

"One of the most pleasing aspects of the judging process is the diverse range of judges ... each bring with them their own ideas and expertise and thus provide many different opinions ... it is great to see the energetic and highly enthusiastic discussion generated."
