2010 Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show
“savewater!® Plant Solutions…featuring The Garden Gurus”

The Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show is a celebration of gardening, plants, landscapes, flowers, fruits and gardeners. Since 2005 the savewater!® Alliance have enjoyed a showcase site at the show to help gardens and gardeners adapt to water shortages, restrictions, climate change and changing community expectations.
For the 2010 event, City West Water, South East Water, Yarra Valley Water and Melbourne Water joined forces through the savewater!® Alliance and The Garden Gurus to provide plant solutions to the community.
“savewater!® Plant Solutions” promoted a position whereby gardens can still survive in dry times by encouraging water efficient gardens through the use of drought tolerant plants, mulching, wetting agents and rainwater.
The Garden Gurus built three demonstration gardens each day of the show, with each garden based on water efficient principles such as mulching, water restrictions and water efficient technologies.
