Product vetting process

Products listed on or before 29 February 2012 were independently vetted by the National Centre for Sustainability at Swinburne University. Products listed on or after 1 March 2012 were independently vetted by the Alternative Technology Association.


Alternative Technology Association

Alternative Technology Association (ATA) is a not-for-profit organisation that has been promoting renewable energy, water conservation and sustainable buildings since 1980. ATA provides expert, independent advice on sustainable solutions for the home to homeowners, government and industry. With 6,000 members across Australia and New Zealand walking the talk in their own homes, ATA’s knowledge is based on our members practical experience. ATA are the publishers of two leading magazines on sustainable living - Sanctuary: Modern green homes and ReNew: Technology for a sustainable future.


National Centre for Sustainability at Swinburne University

The NCS aims to transform the way we live, work and learn through a shared understanding of sustainability. The NCS at Swinburne is committed to excellence in program delivery, research and provision of consultation to key stakeholders derived from the industry and organisational networks established through Swinburne University and other stakeholders. The NCS works collaboratively with organisations to provide a competitive edge in a rapidly changing operational landscape through customised sustainability solutions, including organisational change outcomes and short courses including carbon management.
