The Multi Speed Pool Pump from Blue Haven Pools utilises a state of the art permanent magnet brushless DC motor controlled by advanced electronics to dramatically decrease operating costs, Co2 emissions and noise levels.

Developed in Australia, the patented Viron motor is an example of world leading technologoy developed to meet today's energy and environmental challenges.

Unlike conventional single-speed motor, which routinely work at maximum capacity, the Multi-speed adapts to the task at hand. The high efficiency of the Multi-Speed results in dramatic reduction in power consumption - saving 70% of ongoing operating costs.

This Pump offers even greater advantages:- Reduced chorinator size, increased sanitsier stablity, reduced war and tear on other filtration plus more efficient cleaning of your sand filter all help your pool equipment last longer and reduce the lifetime operation costs of your pool.

 Pool pumps are sized on flow rate and not energy consumption. The Australian standard calls for at least one turnover of the pool volume in 8 hours. We recommend at least 2 turnovers.

Normally for a 45000ltr pool a 1.5hp 290ltr/min @ 1120w pump would be specified as this would give on complete turn over of the pool in around 2.6 hours. This would mean the pool would be turned over at least twice in two 4 hour filter periods. To do this the pump would operate for 8 hours using 1120 watts per hour giving you 8.96Kwh.

The P300 BLDC Pump operated on low speed has a flow rate of 202ltrs/min @ 291w and would turn over the water once in 3.7hours using 1.16Kwh complying with the standard. At this rate the pool would still be turned over twice in two 4 hour filter periods. To do this the pump would operate at 291 watts per hour giving you 2.32Kwh energy consumption.
