The New 2010 MATALA Gator Pro is a designed to be the most efficient and advanced Grey Water Diversion Device available on the market. It is solely aimed at the professional licensed installer, to make it easy and simple to make full use of the waste water from the shower, laundry and bath.
The outstanding features of the MATALA Gator Pro system are firstly the four stage, 3 dimensional filtration system designed and made by Matala®. This 4 stage filtration process efficiently cleans the particulates such as soap, hair, lint sand etc from your waste water, making it suitable for direct reuse through a grey water drip system. The unique qualities of this filtration mean it can cope with large volumes of flow and an extended period of time between servicing. Recommendations are between 120-180 days of use before servicing. This ensures that you get clean water to the irrigation system and you get extended pump life as the pump is only running in clean water.
The pump in the MATALA Gator Pro has now been upgraded.This low energy 125watt pump now is controlled by high and low float switches with an external low voltage control box. The floats have been especially developed for Grey Water use. The MATALA Gator Pro pump automatically keeps running if it detects water and will pump down to a very low 15mm residual. It automatically starts 4 times in a 24 hour period overiding the float controll. This will ensure low residual is maintained in the unit.
With this filtration and pump combination the Gator Pro is ready to go straight into an approved grey water drip system.
The MATALA Gator Pro is Water Mark approved ATS 5200.460 for use as a pumped Grey Water Diversion device and also as a gravity diversion device. So the MATALA Gator Pro can be used in a situation where no power is available. This makes it unique in the market. Its compact size and ability to be partially buried (up to 400mm) make for easy installation. The filters are easily accessible for servicing via a removable lid and the unit is very quiet in operation thanks to a very efficient pump.
Data from the NSW DSE indicate water savings in the order of up to 338 litres per day depending on occupancy with this type of Grey Water Diversion device.
