This is a gutter protection system that saves water by stopping the overflow of rain water from gutters due to leaf blockage. It also stops pump impellers being damaged by gumnuts and prevents tannin problems that are associated with rainwater collection.
It can be connected to a range of roofing surfaces including tiles and corrugated iron.
The mesh is installed to create a positive slope off the roof to allow all leaf, pine needle, gumnuts and other debris to slide off the roof and onto the ground. The main aim is to allow the debris to slide past the gutter and not get caught in or around the guttering.
The mesh holes are so small that they prevent even the smallest gumnut from getting in, and allow all the rain water to enter the guttering for rain water collection. Gutters stay clear, therefore providing a maintenance-free solution for home-owners, and the owners of commercial and industrial buildings.
The mesh is of the highest quality formulae (patented), designed to endure the harshest Australian conditions and has a working life of 25 years. The mesh formula uses a high density (HD) polyethylene in the transverse strand and high density/low density polyethylene (HD/LD) mix for the longitudinal strand (patented) which is easily tailored to suit most roof styles. The new 2G UltraTechMesh now incorporates a carbon black compound underneath the coloured top face. This new invention gives a longer life for the mesh, and allow for colour coding to match roof colours.Carbon Black is a natural material.
For bushfire prone areas, we offer a self-extinguishing fire retarded mesh, SEFR2000. This conforms to Australian standards AS3959 "Construction of Buildings in Bushfire Prone Areas". Tested to AS1530 Part 2. Fire Rating 2.
