 The soil moisture sensor determines the soil moisture content by measuring the impedance of the soil between the two sensor pads. As the soil gets wetter, the impedance of the soil reduces. The sensor takes measurements of your soil and communicates this information by polling your controller every 12 minutes. A pre-set moisture level prevents the watering system from operating until the soil has become sufficiently dry. Connecting the soil moisture sensor is easy and simple and takes the guesswork out of irrigation scheduling. Product awards
