The eco-designed ShowerWatch creates awareness of time when showering. The ShowerWatch is pre-programmed for 4-minutes - the shower time most water companies and governments recommend.
At Half a Teaspoon we believe by simply creating awareness of time in the shower, we will use water more consciously.
The ShowerWatch is made using Sensible EcoDesign Principles, including:
- Minimal use of materials
- Single plastic type used so it can be recycled
- No adhesives used that may contaminate end of live recycling
- No metal fixing screws
- Elimination of gaskets
- Lead free solder
- Easy battery replacement
- Designed for disassembly - one twist and the ShowerWatch is completely
disassembled
Furthermore, at Half a Teaspoon we have made a conscious decision to produce the ShowerWatch in Australia. All parts (except the electronic part) are manufactured locally. The units are then hand assembled in our factory in Melbourne.

At Half A Teaspoon our aim is to create awareness about the world’s limited water resources and to promote conscious use of water.
We develop and manufacture stylish and eco-designed products to support the Half a Teaspoon® philosophy. These products are tools which allow people to use water consciously.
Half a Teaspoon® compares one litre (all the world’s water) to half a teaspoon (the available freshwater). The Half a Teaspoon® philosophy is about stimulating people to think about an important environmental issue by addressing it in a colourful and unusual way.
