 EE-EnvicLean® completely eliminates the need for water to be used in the rapid cleanup of spilled liquids in domestic, commercial or industrial situations. The product also captures odours or vapours which may emanate from spilled liquids. EE-EnvicLean® works by a method known as “silica encapsulation” meaning the encapsulated liquid becomes part of the silica molecule. This means that when EE-EnvicLean Dry Liquid Spill Cleaner is applied to a liquid spill it will absorb the liquid with NO free liquid leaching or run off. EE-EnvicLean® is lightweight and snowy white in physical appearance and maintains a granular consistency before and after use which makes it safe and easy to handle and safe to dispose of as general rubbish. EE-EnvicLean® is a natural product that uses no water, generates no emissions and in effect comes from and returns to the earth with NO leaching or discharge. The product has been independently tested by Sharp & Howells Pty Ltd, a NATA accredited laboratory, which shows that EE-EnvicLean® is consistent with Perlite, a natural and recognised safe highly absorbent material, at higher than 95% purity (see attached report). EE-EnvicLean® is available in convenient 200ml, 450ml and 750ml tubes as well as 12L bag, 60L bag and a 20L bucket. EE-EnvicLean® is applied around the perimeter and on top of the spilled liquid or semi liquid to a depth of approximately 5mm. The cleanup of most spills generally requires a period of 60 seconds. Case Study Test – Workshop at Cranbourne Holden A test was conducted to cleanup 0.5 litre of used motor oil on a workshop floor. EE-EnvicLean® Dry Encapsulant for Liquid Spills cleaned the spill in 90 seconds with NO water required. No residue or liquid remained on the spill area. By comparison a water based degreaser required 10 litres of water in the cleanup bucket and a further 10 litres of water to flush the bucket and mop on completion of the cleanup – a total of 20 litres of water per cleanup. Degreaser - Initial treatment was with rags to absorb a majority of the motor oil from the spill area following which a degreaser solution (15 litres - mixed at ratio of 40:60 degreaser to water per directions) was applied with a mop for a period of 120 seconds. EE-EnvicLean – 2.25 litres of EE-EnvicLean® Dry Encapsulant for Liquid Spills was spread over the motor oil to an average depth of 5 mm. EE-EnvicLean® Dry Encapsulant for Liquid Spills was worked and swept in a circular motion using a broom over the spill area for a period of 90 seconds. Case Study Test Results: Degreaser – Oil residual remained on the spill area after mopping for 120 seconds with the degreaser solution. A large water affected area around the spill remained which required a further 15 minutes drying time to be considered safe for walking. EE-EnvicLean – NO oil residue remained and the spill area was completely dry within 90 seconds of applying EE-EnvicLean® Dry Encapsulant for Liquid Spills. NO drying time was required. The EE-EnvicLean® Dry Encapsulant for Liquid Spills was swept away using a dustpan and broom. Cranbourne Holden Service Manager, Shane Cooke, said “I was impressed with EE-EnvicLean® Dry Encapsulant for Liquid Spills. It is more effective and faster at cleaning the spill area and provided a satisfactory result which is more cost effective when compared to our current method of using a degreaser and mop”. Case Study Test – Koonya Hotel Sorrento Sorbent Towels Cleanup is generally with paper towels applied to the spilled liquids. In the case of the three spills 180 seconds was required to capture a majority of the 150ml of spilled used cooking oil, 150 ml of spilled red cordial and 100 ml of spilled milk. Detergent – A water based detergent is also used to cleanup spills from the restaurant floor and counter serving areas requiring 15 litres of water in a bucket and 5 litres to flush the bucket after cleanup.10 minutes is required for drying after cleanup. EE-EnvicLean® – 200 grams of EE-EnvicLean® Dry Encapsulant for Liquid Spills was spread over the cooking oil, 200 grams over the red cordial and 200 grams over the spilled milk to an average depth of 5 mm. EE-EnvicLean® was worked and swept in a circular motion using a broom over the spill area for a period of 45 seconds. Case Study Test Results: Sorbent Towels – Residue remained from the cooking oil and a red stain remained on the spill area from the red cordial after cleanup with towels. Further dripping of spilled liquids from used towels resulted during disposal requiring additional towels for cleanup. The spill area required an additional 10 minutes to dry after cleanup with a water based detergent. Kitchen staff noted the oil residue as a common safety hazard in a commercial kitchen. EE-EnvicLean® – NO residue remained following cleanup of all spilled liquids and the spill area was completely dry within 45 seconds of applying EE-EnvicLean® Dry Encapsulant for Liquid Spills. NO drying time was required. The dry EE-EnvicLean® Dry Encapsulant for Liquid Spills was cleaned up using a dustpan and broom. Koonya Hotel General Manager James Macpherson noted the EE-EnvicLean® Dry Encapsulant for Liquid Spills was more effective and easier to apply which is vital for use in a busy kitchen and restaurant environment.
