Drip-In with Rootguard is a subsurface drip irrigation system for residential and commercial applications. Driptube is buried below the surface of the lawn, so that water can be applied directly to the root zone of your plants. Drip-in with Rootguard allows full use of the landscape, whilst irrigating.
How does it work?
The pre-emergent TREFLAN is impregnated into the drip emitter during the moulding process. Once installed in the ground, the slow release of TREFLAN creates a barrier around the emitter, and roots are directed away from the emitter opening. This means roots can't clog your drippers, ensuring optimal water application.
Special design, installation and maintenance procedures apply. It is very important to install subsurface drip correctly, and to bury it at the right depth. It can be installed with a mole-plough (for larger installations) or a smalll bladed trenching machine for small installations, or contact an experienced irrigation contractor.
Back flow prevention regulations require a reduced pressure zone device (RPZ) to be installed by a licensed plumber and checked on an annual basis.
