- Cotton AustraliaThe peak industry body for Australia’s cotton growers, representing and advancing the interests of the industry to governments, non-government organisations, the media and the community by initiating public affairs and communications activities.
It is funded by a voluntary levy of two dollars per bale, to which over 80 per cent of growers contribute. Cotton Australia develops policies for the cotton industry and works to ensure an environment conducive to efficient and sustainable cotton production. It implements the industry’s environmental program, Best Management Practices (BMP).
- Cotton Research and Development CorporationA partnership between the Australian Government and the Australian cotton industry. Its vision is a globally competitive and responsible cotton industry providing leadership and investment in research, innovation, knowledge creation and transfer.
- Australian Cotton Growers Research AssociationA grower-based industry body which was set up in 1972 to administer research in the industry before the introduction of the Cotton Research Committee, and ultimately the Cotton Research and Development Corporation (CRDC).
The membership of ACGRA is made up of grower representatives of all the major cotton processing organisations, together with representatives of the Cotton Grower Associations and the seed companies.
