  • Keep South Australia Beautiful
    The Clean Site program looks to prevent pollution from building and construction sites entering our waterways and polluting our environment.
  • Urban Water Resources Group
    The Urban Water Resources Group (UWRG) undertakes research into collection, treatment, greywater recycling, storage, retrieval and use of urban water resources.
  • Sustainability Street
    The central idea of the Sustainability Street approach is that people get together as local communities, learn about sustainability, then do what they can & encourage, assist or 'teach' other individuals or other communities to join the groundswell.
  • VicWater
    Links to member water companies and authorities as well as related education initiatives. Also features a regular newsletter about VicWater's activities.

Labelling schemes

  • National Water Conservation Labelling Scheme
    A voluntary rating/labelling scheme that provides information on the relative water efficiency of various appliances, using a scale of up to five As. Will be superseded by WELS, but labels will co-exist until 2008.
  • Water Efficiency Labelling and Standards
    A new compulsory labelling scheme, currently being phased in and will be compulsory from January 2008. Uses a scale of up to six stars to demonstrate an appliance's water usage.
