Soil additives

Mulch and compost are better long term solutions but sometimes soil additives can be a quick and effective solution, particularly for special purpose garden beds, or vertical walls, and pot plants.

Soiladditives

One of the problems with soil that has dried out is that it repels water, wasting the precious water you put on it. Water crystals and soil wetting agents can dramatically improve the success of new plantings and water absorption in your garden, particularly if it is already very dry. Water crystals absorb water and store it for use by the plant at a later time, while wetting agents treat the soil surface to allow water to penetrate.
